From project porch baby to PhD., from jail at 15 to a certified life coach, from a PhD. on welfare to business owner, Lauren D. Hargrave is the epitome of resilience.

Dedicated to enhancing the lives of others, Lauren’s body of work includes professional development for educators, remedial and preventive programs for students, college and career mentoring, and educational consulting for universities, pre-k – 12 schools, businesses, and families. Her areas of expertise stem from her graduate training at the University of Kentucky in the field of Educational Psychology. Specifically, Lauren’s training entailed a deep understanding of learning styles, motivation, human development, cognition, research and statistics, as well as multicultural education.

A lady of passion, integrity, and purpose, Lauren encapsulates a direct, no-nonsense approach in her work and coaching style. Vehement, fierce, honest, and nurturing, she is the epitome of God’s grace and mercy. As she provides training and coaching, Lauren uses grace and unguarded talk to deliver messages of equity, reframing thinking, success, and quality education.

Today, Lauren is the owner of G.R.A.C.E. (Guiding Rising Achievers towards College/Career Excellence) Education Consulting, LLC. It is here that she goes above and beyond to help people become their best selves through training, coaching, and consulting.
